MICHELLE ZORIC CHENEVERT, CCE, STRONGBIRTHS LLC

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR  BREASTFEEDING SPECIALIST BIRTH DOULA

Michelle moved back to Pittsburgh in 2014, home to most of her family, until she had been a transplant to the Northern Virginia/DC area, where she spent many years working as an educator in many varied settings and roles. She now lives in the South Hills with her supportive husband, three children (two born in birth centers and one at home), her grandmother, and a menagerie of pets. She decided to become a childbirth educator because Michelle felt moved to help other women realize that birth can be amazing and empowering, not just something to "get through" in order to have a baby and childbirth education seemed like a natural fit to blend her background in education with her passion for birth. Michelle, earned her certification through BirthWorks International, which is a two-year process involving an impressive, intense curriculum. She completed her course work in 2012 and immediately began teaching childbirth preparation classes. Michelle is currently pursuing further certification as Breastfeeding Educator and as a Doula. Michelle's goal is to support and encourage women to have a normal, unmedicated birth and her goal as an educator is to empower parents and facilitate their ability to make informed decisions about their care. Knowledge is Power!
